Teaser Poster

Here is the new teaser poster for The War At Home, showing for the first time the release date of the 19.02.07, the anniversary of the Darwin bombings around which the film is set.

I created the black one first and thought I should do a more 'printer friendly' white one.

Second mantra.ifp venture enters early pre-production phase...

With our first production "The War At Home" being about a year in development so far, early concepts and story development has begun for our second production.

Without saying too much it will be much shorter than TWAH, running at somewhere between 5-15 mintues. Again it is likely that it will be focused in the WW2 arena, and reports lead us to believe that the main focus will be on the western front in Normandy in the days following D-Day.

Stay tuned for more details to come in the next few weeks as the script and story details progress.

Teaser Trailer for The War At Home

Initially released several weeks ago to a limited viewing audience on youtube I can now present the teaser trailer for The War At Home in a more central place.

As we film more I will place up snippets of scenes to tide people over.

Announcing the first Production

I am pleased to announce the first film to be created as a joint venture between mantra.ifp and Kingsland Studios.

Working Title: The War At Home
Running Time: 60 mins approx.
Format: miniDV

Summary: It is 1942 and Australia is at war with the closing forces of Japan. A group of soldiers are trained to fight in the town of Darwin in the Northern Territory.
However the group is split apart only to reunite once more against the invasion of Australia itself. As the skies above Darwin are riddled with flak and death, the soldiers must look to themselves in discovering why their roles as individuals will determine the lives of thousands. Whether they are fighting in the tropical skies or a lowland jungle on the Kokoda, a "war at home" will be the last for many.
